Alina, William and Kelly filmed Game Girls over the course of three years in various stages. As part of the development process, we formed a creative arts workshop facilitated by PhD, RDT-BCT Mimi Savage. The Game Girls workshops met weekly in a street level venue open to all people who identify as women in the community. The workshops informed the documentary as a sounding board for ideas and themes, a few scenes of which are in the film. But beyond that a community was formed and a performance, called Rock Paper Scissors, emerged from the creative and healing work done in the workshops.
